In no other corner of the earth, as in Sicily, there are many religious events, all concentrated during Holy Week. The most 'great work is certainly one of Trapani, which for twenty consecutive hours through the streets of the city by living moments. From Friday afternoon to the Saturday preceding Easter Sunday, an amazing crowd gets in the way most 'total mysticism of the drama of death and passion of Christ.

The city is confused in an atmosphere of celebration, passion, faith, folklore and fun. The streets are full of people, strange smells (of food, flowers, wax burned, incense) and resellers of all: the roasted seeds of colorful candy, food, toy, balloon, and the libercoli reproductions of the Mysteries.

The bells of the beautiful baroque churches to play dead when the procession approached. The notes of the many bands accompany and make, in a race with no holds barred, more 'richer and more' impressive sculptural different groups.
